We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a reliable expert for our repair job. We signed up and listed our project details, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

  • The scattered quotes we managed to get were simply too expensive.
  • Worst of all, their customer service was abysmal.

We are very disappointed with Checkatrade and would strongly advise using their services. There are more reliable alternatives out there. We feel sorry for having wasted our time on this ineffective service.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which more info they hide in the small stuff. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as incompetent as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like pulling teeth.

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Then, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

My story with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I engaged a trader through their website to handle some vital home repairs. They appeared trustworthy at first, but it turned out a horrendous ordeal.

Despite I transferred the full amount upfront, the work never started. Contact became impossible. It's been weeks, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.
